Some random photos from this past weekend.

Szymon went ice fishing. Family drove up for a fun visit. Had a game of roulette.

I also baked some delicious cookies. Recipe below.

Here is a recipe for some really good, soft cookies.

You have to add the candy at the end, once you take them out of the oven 

and let cool for about 2mins. It's so the chocolate (in my case Hershey Kiss) doesn't melt.

My kids didn't like the peppermint Hershey Kiss. I loved it.

Przepis:

1 szkl masla (miekkiego)

1 szkl zlotego cukru

1 szkl bialego cukru

2 jajka

2 lyszki mleka

2 1/4 szkl maki bialej

2 lyzeczki proszku do pieczenie

1/4 lyzeczki sody do pieczenia

szczypta soli

i na koniec cukierki Twojego wynoru (dodaje sie po pieczeniu)

Laczysz wszystko mikserem, pieczesz przez 11min na 180C.

Nadzienie: (dajcie ile chcecie wszystkiego do smaku)

- kapusta pokrojona na paseczki

- marchewka pokrojona na paseczki urzywajac obieraczke

- cebula pokrojona na paseczki

- ziemniak pokrojony na mini kosteczke

- schab pokrojony na kosteczke

- wszystko smazone na maselku

- szczypta suszonej bazylij

- soja sos

- troszke miodu

- troszke chilli suszonej

- sol i pieprz

Ryzowy papier trzeba zanurzyc w cieplej wodzie na 5 sekund

Moje chlopaki uwielbiaja przygladac sie jak mama cos gotuje.

Zaczynamy zawijac w paczuszke...

No i juz jest gotowe do jedzenia, bo mozna to zjesc na zimno lub cieplo. Dzieci sie odrazu zlapaly na zimno.

A my z Szymonem lubimy usmarzone na oleju, bo sa super chrupiace!

Yesterday, Szymon found Suillus mushrooms in a forest nearby, so we marinated/pickled them.
I wonder if they'll turn out!?
A wczoraj Szymon nazbieral pelno maslakow, to zamarynowalismy je oczywiscie! Ciekawe czy wyjda!?

It got a little quiet in the house...

and we know that usually means trouble,

but I found him sitting, looking at a book.

My sister and I took a drive to Niagara Falls for the day with the boys.
I only took pictures in the car.
We had so much fun that I forgot to take pictures while there!

Lately, Kacper and I have been obsessed with doing crafts!
He just loves to cut, trace, colour and glue things to paper.

Zucchini and Hot Dog Pancakes

I made these pancakes twice in one day. Kacper's request.

Super easy. Super fast. Super good!
I don't normally add the butter to the batter, but I think it makes them softer this way.
